Lindi LakayOccupational TherapistBachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) - Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand) Lindi is known for her calm, patient and nurturing approach and builds strong rapport easily with both children and their families. She brings warmth, creativity and strong interpersonal skills to her practice and takes great pride in supporting children to reach their full potential. Originally from South Africa, Lindi moved to New Zealand with her family as a teenager. She completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) at Auckland University of Technology and has developed a strong passion for working in paediatric occupational therapy. Lindi has experience supporting children with a range of challenges and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability and global developmental delay. She enjoys being creative, playful and purposeful in her sessions, helping children build essential life skills in ways that are both meaningful and engaging. Lindi believes Occupational Therapists have a unique ability to positively influence a child’s development, confidence and overall wellbeing. She places importance on delivering therapy that supports not only skill development but also emotional and social growth. Lindi is committed to ongoing learning and professional development. She has recently completed certifications in DIR Floortime and The Traffic Jam in My Brain, which support children with sensory processing differences and social-emotional needs. Outside of work, Lindi enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors, including camping, nature walks and trips to the beach. She also loves exploring new adventures and creative craft projects.
